General Inpatient Care
General Inpatient Care for Comfort and Support
At Heartsong Hospice, we provide General Inpatient Care (GIP) for patients who need short-term, intensive medical support to manage acute symptoms that cannot be controlled at home. Our goal is to ensure comfort, dignity, and expert care in a hospital, hospice facility, or skilled nursing facility.
When Is General Inpatient Care Needed?
- General Inpatient Care is appropriate when a patient experiences:
- Uncontrolled pain or severe symptoms (e.g., shortness of breath, nausea, agitation)
- Need for intensive nursing care beyond what can be managed at home
- Frequent medication adjustments to improve comfort
- Severe wounds or complex medical needs
Our compassionate team ensures that patients receive the highest level of care in a comfortable and supportive environment.
“Hospice care transforms fear into comfort, providing a sanctuary where dignity reigns.”
